Cloudy with a chance of chocolate

Today's chocolate selection is a special kind of awesome

I'm calling them Cloudy Bits. I have this grand plan to have an assortment- you pick the "bits". These particular morsels have hand chopped chocolate running through the chewy meringue inside. (I like hand chopped so that you have a variety of sizes which makes for varrying melting rates as you bite into it) Combine this heavenliness   with the lighter than air crisp outer shell and well it brings a tear to my eye. I fell in love with meringues in the shell/pavlova genre back when my grandma Koeck introduced me to them. Way back when before silicone mats- back when you had to cut your brown paper grocery bags to fit your cookie sheets. Those silly shells taught me patience. Nothing like telling a child they have to wait 4 hours before they can enjoy something they've made. Golly food makes me excited! Happy Chocolate Friday!

Chocolate chip cookie cake!

Sometime in your life I am almost certain, you've had a piece of a chocolate chip cookie cake. 

Have you had one like this?

That's 12 inches around and an inch and a half thick of chewy chocolate goodness. 

This young man is an avid Bulldogs fan so..,

Radio silence

So why was there no picture of happiness this past Friday? Because it finally got me- and by IT I mean the flu. I slept right through Friday. I promise I had a picture ready. 

Monkey see monkey eat monkey bars. This is seemingly not very chocolatey- yet it's full of hand chopped chocolate and drizzled with tempered smooth milk chocolate. What can I say, I speak chocolate. So I am up and at 'em again baking up a storm and all thanks to chocolate (and tamiflu).
