Cloudy with a chance of chocolate

Today's chocolate selection is a special kind of awesome


I'm calling them Cloudy Bits. I have this grand plan to have an assortment- you pick the "bits". These particular morsels have hand chopped chocolate running through the chewy meringue inside. (I like hand chopped so that you have a variety of sizes which makes for varrying melting rates as you bite into it) Combine this heavenliness   with the lighter than air crisp outer shell and well it brings a tear to my eye. I fell in love with meringues in the shell/pavlova genre back when my grandma Koeck introduced me to them. Way back when before silicone mats- back when you had to cut your brown paper grocery bags to fit your cookie sheets. Those silly shells taught me patience. Nothing like telling a child they have to wait 4 hours before they can enjoy something they've made. Golly food makes me excited! Happy Chocolate Friday!
