I wanted the first picture to appeal to everyone and since I don't know know everyone I thought I'd cover my bases. Come on....admit it.... First you saw it, then you mentally smelled it, next you tasted a memory, and finally you smiled. Don't worry it's normal- happens to me all the time. Have a great day and Happy Chocolate Friday! First ever chocolate friday
As promised (be it a lot later than I was planning on posting today), a picture of chocolate.

Chocolate Friday on a Tuesday
Many years ago I was employed at a place that will never be dubbed "The happiest place on earth." I believe I was good at my job and those I worked with were all good at what they did as well. We weren't relatively looking forward to going into work each day, but we all came and we all plugged away. I liked who I worked with and knew something had to change- something had to lift our spirits. We got our checks on Thursdays so to motivate us into coming in and being happier on Fridays I started "Chocolate Fridays", Every week on Friday I would bring something in to share. Over time it evolved; It wasn't always chocolate and it wasn't always me who brought something. Our morale was boosted on those Fridays. For a good stint it turned into taco Fridays when we became almost obsessed with a little taco truck down the street. Our boss even made sausage biscuit runs for us every once in a while. The point is this: If change is needed, be the one to start down that path- and it never hurts to have some chocolate to smooth the way. Seriously though- food speaks to everyone and even the thought of chocolate can cheer a person up. That is why I have decided to post on here and share it on facebook a picture of something chocolate every Friday so that if you need a mental pick me up or know someone who could use a lift- just share the picture, close your eyes, and imagine smelling the baked goodness wafting through your memories! If you need something more tangible I am happy to help there too. Does your office need a chocolate Friday? Think of what America would be like if everyone had goodies to share on Fridays! So be looking out this Friday for the first ever Blessed lil Bakery Chocolate Friday!

And so it begins
Since the conception of blessed little bakery, I have been wondering if I would jump in feet first or ease in. I already have orders for Valentine's Day, a birthday party, and a standing weekly order for a staff meeting; with potential for two other business staff meeting weekly orders as well. The word is quickly getting out however at this moment I don't have as much time as I would like to. But if I can do all this was less time the potential is endless for the fall when I have more time to focus on the bakery goods. I kind of feel like I'm in the hurry up and wait stage and it's making me stir crazy (pun intended). I hope to have a beginning product list and pricing by the end of the night or at least the end of the week. I have been posting pictures on Twitter if you'd like to see what I'm creating and baking- hit up @blessedlilbaker
